Our Story

Our daughter, Alice, was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder shortly after her third birthday. We first noticed differences in Alice’s behaviour and abilities around 13 months, specifically with her speech—she began to talk but then stopped, something we now understand as regression.

Navigating this during the pandemic made finding support challenging. In addition to autism, Alice has Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and PICA, an eating disorder involving the consumption of non-edible items, and is often a sensory seeker. She’s always been drawn to spinning and running and often bumps off or into things.

Finding toys that engaged Alice and safely met her sensory needs was difficult. After spending a lot of time and money on toys that didn’t work for her, we focused on developing and sourcing toys tailored to her needs—ones that help her regulate her senses, support her development and most importantly, that she enjoys.

Our Story

Our daughter Alice was developing slower than the other children, we really noticed when she was still not walking after 18 months. The result after a long journey was that she has been diagnosed as severely autistic, we always struggled to keep her entertained, always a handful and in and out of everything. Normal toys were not keeping her engaged so we worked on developing and sourcing our own so that she could have toys to play with that would engage in her world.
